TPIPP’s foray into WTE begun by recycling the waste heat from the cement plants operated by parent, TPI Polene (TPIPL). It quickly grew and expanded into municipal solid waste with 250 MW capacity. We are the largest privately-owned WTE-MSW in Southeast Asia. Our 10,000 tons daily MSW uptake translates into 7.66 million tons of CO2e per year. We are expanding into solar power generation and by 2026 TPIPP will have close to 460 MW MSW and 71 MW of solar capacity. In the aspect of Sustainability our goal is to get to Carbon Neutrality by 2037.

We thank the management, employees and all stakeholders for the support and sharing with us this journey.

14 June 2024 – TPI Polene Power Public Company Limited ("TPIPP") is a producer and distributor of electricity, and it operates the world's largest Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) power plant. It also provides the largest waste disposal services in Thailand. All of the company’s waste disposal plants are housed in one location, making it the largest such facility in the world. It has successfully passed the ISO14064-1 (Carbon Footprint Verification or CFV) certification, which is a standard for principles and requirements at the enterprise level  for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions and reductions, including requirements for design, development, management, reporting and verification of corporate greenhouse gas emissions and reductions from BSI, British Standards Institute.

Mr. Prachai Leophairatana,  Chairman of TPIPP,  revealed that TPIPP has passed the ISO14064-1 (Carbon Footprint Verification or CFV) certification from BSI Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd. ("BSI"), an expertise in carbon footprint verification from the British Standards Institute, which is the highest standard of quality assurance and quality control procedures in the industry.

"The Company is committed to and  aware of the issue of climate change, which is a global issue that has attracted the attention of organizations, governments  and leading organizations around the world and are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to address global warming. Measuring and reporting an organization's carbon footprint is to verify the accuracy of the amount of greenhouse gases that an organization wants to reduce and/or offset or to become a 'carbon neutral' organization, which is important for ensuring and demonstrating social responsibility.
